About Ernesto C. Perez II

Atty. Ernesto C. Perez II is an obedient son; supportive brother; loving husband; and devoted father. But foremost, he is a Roman Catholic and a servant of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

He is the Managing Partner of Perez Valencia & Perez Law Firm. Mr. Perez received his Bachelor of Arts Major in Political Science from the University of the Philippines in 1993 and his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Perpetual Help in Las Piñas City in 1998.

After graduation, he eagerly joined the legislative staff of Sen. Rodolfo G. Biazon in August 1998 as a Legislative Staff Officer II. He became Senior Technical Aide of the Committee on Constitutional Commissions and Offices, Commission on Appointments when Senator Biazon was its Chairman. He took the Bar Examinations in 1999 and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in May 2000. He was promoted by the Office of Sen. Biazon to Director I upon taking his oath as an attorney.

In October 2001, he also became the legal consultant of neophyte Congressman Rozzano Rufino B. Biazon. Soon thereafter, he resigned from his position at the Senate in December 31, 2001 to fully engage in litigation practice and set up a law firm in the booming Madrigal Business Park in Muntinlupa City.

As a private practitioner, he appeared before numerous trial courts and government offices defending his clients or prosecuting the accused in various civil, administrative and criminal cases. At the start of 2008, he has specialized in handling disputes concerning land ownership and possession, land registration cases, as well as the application and interpretation of real estate laws in various civil cases.

In 2003, Mr. Perez joined the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc. (PDRCI) to learn and discover more about various mechanisms to resolve disputes in a near-friendly and non-adversarial way as alternatives to court litigations. In April 2008, Mr. Perez became an accredited Commercial Arbitrator of the PDRCI having passed its accreditation examination.

In July 2004, he accepted the position of Chief Legal and Legislative Officer of then freshman Senator, Hon. Ramon Bong Revilla, Jr. As counsel to the Senator, he provided legal advice and legal perspective to various national issues and bills that were the concerns at any particular time of the Senator.

In June 30, 2007, Mr. Perez resigned from the Office of Senator Revilla, Jr. to pursue other endeavors in the field of agri-business and most importantly to plan his wedding. After tying the knot, the Municipality of Indang became his base of operations. Mr. Perez is the President of Early Riser Agri-Ventures Corporation and Casa Del Terra Realty, Inc. Both companies are based in Indang, Cavite.

While honing his skills as a farmer and real estate developer, he lectured on negotiable instruments law, marketing law, general principles of taxation, the law on income tax and law on sales, agency and partnership at the College of Economics, Management and Developmental Studies, Cavite State UniversityDon Severino Delas Alas Campus in Indang, Cavite.

Mr. Perez was the former Secretary of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), Cavite Chapter for the years 2007 to 2009. He also served as Director of the IBP Cavite Chapter for the years 2005 to 2007 and 2009 to 2011.

In June 2009, Mr. Perez passed the Real Estate Brokers Licensure Examination. It was the last examination administered by the Department of Trade and Industry prior to the enactment of Republic Act No. 9646.

Mr. Perez was a member of the Philippine Association of Real Estate Boards – Muntinlupa Realtors Board (PAREB-MUNREB). He is currently a proud member of the Real Estate Brokers Association of the Philippine – Metro Tagaytay Chapter (REBAP-Metro Tagaytay).
